ISLAMIC, Persia (Pre-Seljuq). Ghaznavids. Yamin al-Dawla Abu'l-Qasim Mahmud, AH 388-421 / AD 998-1030. Dinar (Gold, 21 mm, 4.00 g), a hybrid issue, Nishapur, AH 404 = AD 1013/4 and AH 405 = AD 104/5. The flan slightly wavy and with nicks, otherwise, very fine.

This extremely rare hybrid issue combines an obverse die of Yamin al-dawla abu'l-Qasim Mahmud dated AH 404 with a somewhat blundered obverse die of Nasr bin Sabuktakin dated AH 405.
